The overvoltage clamp function limits the output voltage to the limit voltage when the limit voltage is exceeded. Toshiba eFuse IC has a function to prevent excessive voltage from being applied to the ICs at subsequent stages by clamping the output voltage to the specified output voltage of individual products.
Our eFuse IC has an overvoltage clamping function. For example, in the case of the TCK805, even if the input voltage increases, the input voltage is clamped at about 6.0-V (typ.). Therefore, even if the input voltage instantaneously becomes excessive, more stable power supply can be provided by keeping the output voltage with this clamp function and keeping it within the withstand voltage of the post-stage IC.
